Joinery Estimator

Job description

Our expanding Joinery manufacturing company based in Saif Zone, Sharjah, is looking for an experienced, commercially aware and enthusiastic Estimator for the joinery section to join their well-established team. Playing an integral role in the pre contract estimation and provide the assistance to the joinery.

As a Joinery Estimator you will be required to provide competitive estimates for joinery supply & install packages on a range of projects valued between 1 million and 10 million AED, these comprising of prestigious residential, commercial and hospitality developments. All candidates should have proven pre contract joinery estimating and quantity surveying experience with a specialist joinery contractor. Having the capability of negotiating tenders and reinforcing subcontractor relationships with local contractors.

The role is will also require the estimator to assist the joinery in the production process by providing the material procurement sheets along with cutting schedule and coordinate the changes in the project in the post contract stage.

• Educational Background in similar field
• Good understanding and knowledge of joinery fabrication methods and material processing
• Used to working in a fast paced environment with ability to multitask
• Good excel skills
• Articulate communicator and enquiring mind
• Understanding of technical drawings is essential
• A conscientious with a high level of quality control and attention to detail
• Organized and able to work well under pressure
• Attend site surveys when required
