Junior Estimation Engineer (Steel Fabrication and Tensile Shades)

We are seeking a Junior Estimation Engineer to support the estimation team in preparing cost estimates and BOQs for structural and miscellaneous steel projects. The role involves assisting in material take-offs, rate analysis, and tender documentation, with a focus on steel fabrication and erection works.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing material take-offs (MTOs) for structural and miscellaneous steel from drawings and models.
• Support in developing BOQs, cost estimates, and rate breakdowns for steel fabrication and erection.
• Collect and compare supplier and subcontractor quotations for raw materials, consumables, and services.
• Prepare draft comparative statements for management review.
• Maintain a database of steel prices, fabrication rates, and erection costs.
• Coordinate with the engineering and procurement teams for technical clarifications.
• Assist senior estimation engineers in compiling tender documents and commercial submissions.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma in Mechanical, Civil, or Structural Engineering.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in steel fabrication/erection estimation
• Knowledge of AutoCAD; exposure to Tekla is an advantage.
• Strong skills in MS Excel (formulas, pivot tables, cost sheets).
• Good analytical, numerical, and communication skills.
• Eagerness to learn steel cost estimation and grow within the proposals team.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED3,500.00 - AED5,000.00 per month
