Quantity Surveyor

Job Description:

We are a dynamic and growing renewable energy business specializing in the installation of external wall insulation, solar panels, and heat pumps. As we continue to expand our operations, we are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in accurately calculating quantities for materials, verifying invoices against measurements, and ensuring cost efficiency in our projects.

Responsibilities:

Measurement and Estimation:

Conduct detailed desktop surveys to assess the scope of work for external, internal and cavity wall insulation, solar PV and heat pump installation projects.

Accurately calculate quantities of materials required for each project based on architectural plans and site measurements.

Cost Estimation and Budgeting:

Collaborate with project managers and engineers to prepare accurate cost estimates for materials, labour, and other project-related expenses.

Assist in developing and maintaining project budgets to ensure cost-effectiveness and profitability.

Invoice Verification:

Review supplier and contractor invoices against measured quantities to verify accuracy and consistency.

Address discrepancies and collaborate with vendors to resolve any billing issues.

Project Documentation:

Maintain comprehensive and organized records of measurements, cost estimates, and invoices for each project.

Prepare and present regular reports on project costs and financial status.

Collaboration:

Work closely with project managers, engineers, and procurement teams to ensure seamless communication and coordination.

Collaborate with external vendors and suppliers to negotiate favourable terms and pricing.

Requirements:

Educational Background:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, civil or mechanical field.

Experience:

Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the renewable energy or construction industry.

Skills:

Strong analytical and mathematical skills.

Proficiency in relevant software for quantity surveying and cost estimation.

Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

Detail-Oriented:

Meticulous attention to detail in measurements, calculations, and documentation.

Team Player:

Ability to work collaboratively in a team and contribute to the success of projects.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Rs100,000.00 - Rs125,000.00 per month
