Position Overview:
We are seeking a proficient and experienced Billing Engineer & Quantity Surveyor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 7 years of experience in construction billing and quantity surveying, with expertise in cost estimation, project billing and material quantity analysis.
Key Responsibilities:
Billing Engineering:
- Prepare and verify detailed project bills for submission to clients and contractors.
- Monitor and validate work progress to align with billable quantities and project deliverables.
- Coordinate with project teams to ensure timely submission and approval of bills.
- Maintain accurate documentation of billing records, certifications and approvals.
- Track and manage cash flow related to project billing and payments.
Quantity Surveying:
- Conduct detailed quantity take-offs and prepare material and cost estimates.
- Analyze project drawings, specifications and contract documents to identify work scope and requirements.
- Prepare and monitor budgets, forecasts and cost plans throughout the project lifecycle.
- Assist in procurement by preparing material schedules and BOQs (Bill of Quantities).
- Perform periodic site visits to ensure actual quantities align with estimated values.
- Identify variations or deviations and prepare change order claims as necessary.
Compliance and Reporting:
- Ensure compliance with local regulations, industry standards and project contracts.
- Prepare and present regular cost and billing reports to stakeholders.
- Collaborate with clients, contractors and project managers to resolve billing or cost-related discrepancies.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in construction billing and quantity surveying.
- Proficiency in project management and billing software (e.g., MS Excel, SAP, AutoCAD).
- Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods and BOQ preparation.
- Familiarity with contracts, claims and variation analysis.
- Excellent analytical, mathematical and organizational skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication abilities to liaise effectively with teams and stakeholders.
