Quantity Surveyor

Job Summary

The Quantity Surveyor (Civil) is responsible for managing all costs related to civil construction projects, from initial estimation through final accounts. The role ensures that projects are delivered within budget while meeting quality and contractual requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare quantity take-offs and BOQs from drawings and specifications
• Prepare cost estimates, budgets, and tender documents
• Evaluate tenders, quotations, and subcontractor bids
• Measure and value work done at site and certify contractor/subcontractor bills
• Prepare and submit interim payment certificates (IPC)
• Monitor project costs and control budget variations
• Prepare variation orders, claims, and final accounts
• Coordinate with site engineers, planning, and procurement teams
• Maintain accurate records of quantities, costs, and project documentation
• Assist in contract administration and compliance with contract conditions

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Civil Engineering or Quantity Surveying
• 8-10 years of experience in civil construction projects
• Experience in buildings, infrastructure, roads, or industrial projects

Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of measurement, BOQs, and rate analysis
• Proficient in MS Excel, MS Office, and quantity surveying software
• Good understanding of construction drawings and specifications
• Knowledge of contract types and conditions (FIDIC or similar preferred)
• Strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills
• Should have knowledge of ERP Software
