Job Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Quantity Surveyor with a minimum of 3 years of experience in construction and/or interior fit-out projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for quantity take-offs, cost estimation, budgeting, contract administration, valuation of work, and cost control throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare quantity take-offs from drawings and specifications.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates, Bills of Quantities (BOQ), and project budgets.
• Analyze drawings and contract documents to ensure accurate pricing.
• Prepare and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations.
• Monitor project costs and ensure works are completed within the approved budget.
• Prepare interim payment applications, client invoices, and subcontractor payment certifications.
• Measure and value completed works, variations, and additional works.
• Prepare variation orders and negotiate cost adjustments with clients and subcontractors.
• Assist in procurement by preparing material and subcontract packages.
• Maintain accurate records of project costs, quantities, and contractual documents.
• Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, procurement, and accounts departments regarding project costs and progress.
• Support final account preparation and project close-out documentation.
• Ensure compliance with contractual requirements and company procedures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor in construction and/or interior fit-out projects.
• Strong knowledge of quantity surveying principles, cost estimation, and contract administration.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and MS Office.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD is an advantage.
• Knowledge of UAE construction practices and market rates is preferred.
• Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in commercial, residential, hospitality, or office fit-out projects.
• Strong understanding of BOQ preparation and variation claims.
• Knowledge of procurement and cost control processes.
• Good organizational and time management skills.
