We are looking for a Quantity Surveyor/ Estimator to join our construction team.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Quantity Surveying
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role.
- Proven experience in quantity take-offs, billing and estimation.
- Sound knowledge of construction drawings, BOQ, specifications and contract documents.
- Excellent command of AutoCAD, MS Excel (advanced), MS Word.
- Working knowledge of estimation software like Planswift, Bluebeam or Candy (preferred)
- Proficiency in ERP or project management tolls (e.g Primavera, SAP, Microsoft Projects is a plus)
- Familiarity with local construction standards, method and measurement codes (POMI, CESMM, etc)
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Exposure to value engineering and tendering process
- Ability to work independently and under pressure to meet deadlines
Possession of professional Quantity Surveying or Cost management certifications (eg RICS, CIOB etc) would be an added advantage.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct detailed quantity take-offs from drawings and specifications (structural, architectural, MEP)
- Prepare and submit interim and final bills (client & subcontractor side)
- Prepare cost estimates for tenders, change orders and variations
- Evaluate subcontractor quotations, purchase comparisons and scope alignment
- Assist in budget preparation, cost planning and forecasting.
- Manage cost control and reporting throughout the project lifecycle
- Collaborate with Planning, Procurement and Site Execution teams
- Track materials and work progress to validate billing and reconcile with site reports
- Prepare rate analysis for new items and non-BOQ works
- Identity discrepancies in drawings and communicate for clarification
- Ensure compliance with contractual terms and support in claims preparation.
