Quantity Surveyor (MEP)

MEP Solutions Pvt. Ltd. is a contracting firm proving end-to-end for Mechanical Electrical and Plumbing works. Our company is the sister firm of IZHAR construction company Pvt Ltd. MEP Solutions is seeking a full-time on-site Quantity Surveyor (MEP) to join our team in Karachi at K-Electric Project.

Roles and Responsibilities

1. Understanding of MEP Project Documents (Like Drawings, Technical specifications & BOQ, etc.) to understand the scope

2. Post-Contract Financial Management - Responsible of preparing value of work done as per site according to final BOQ.

3. Responsible for submitting daily and monthly reports for accomplished works, minutes of every meeting done with the owner, As-built plans, and billing reports.

4. Responsible of taking physical measurement and quantities of piping, ducting and insulation etc. of complete MEP works.

5. Quantities take off for HVAC, Firefighting and plumbing items as per drawings and BOQ.

6. Identifying, notifying, submitting and getting approvals of variations, provisional sums & prime cost items.

7. Liaising with clients and their representatives (architects and subcontractors), including attending regular meetings to keep them informed of progress.

8. Checking plans, drawings and quantities in for accuracy of calculations.

9. Responsible for onsite verification of quantities to client and their representative

10. Responsible for calculating the demand of local material required to complete the site.

11. Assist in preparation of Estimates & rate analysis.

12. Assist in preparation of Work Orders for subcontractors.

13. Attending progress meetings.

14. Preparation and submission of interim payment applications to consultant and following up for the approval and issuance of payment certificates to ensure the payments are released on time.

15. Assist project managers in calculating the site budget and petty cash requirement.

16. Identification of project risks that have a negative influence on the project's scope, quality, performance, execution time & cost.

17. Follow up procurement team to deliver the materials within the scheduled time

18. Participate in the rising of Change requests / Variation Orders.

19. Understanding of contractual documents and planning package for smooth execution of site.

20. Ensure Workfront and material availability in order to meet agreed deadlines.

Qualification: DAE Mechanical/Electrical.

Experience: 7 to 8 Years

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Rs90,000.00 - Rs130,000.00 per month
