Quantity Surveyor (Pre & Post Contract – Construction Industry)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor with expertise in both Pre and Post Contract phases within the construction industry in UAE. The role involves cost planning, tender preparation, contract administration, variation claims, and final accounts to ensure projects are delivered within budget and in compliance with contractual requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare cost estimates, BOQs, and tender documents for pre-contract stage.
• Conduct feasibility studies and risk/cost analysis.
• Assist in the tendering process, including evaluation of bids and recommendations.
• Manage contract administration, claims, and variations during post-contract stage.
• Monitor project expenditures, prepare interim payment applications, and manage cash flow forecasts.
• Negotiate with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure competitive pricing.
• Prepare final accounts and ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
• Provide regular cost reports and updates to management.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to achieve project goals.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying or Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in Quantity Surveying (Pre & Post Contract) within the construction industry in UAE.
• Strong knowledge of FIDIC contracts and construction law.
• Proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD, and QS software (e.g., Candy, CostX, or equivalent).
• Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects.

Preferred:

• Membership or certification with RICS / CIOB or similar professional body.
• UAE / GCC experience in building and infrastructure projects.
