Quartz Vinyl Flooring Fitter [Moscow, Russia]

Responsibilities

• Site assessment: Visit job sites to measure areas, assess subfloor conditions, and identify potential issues or installation challenges.
• Surface preparation: Remove and dispose of old flooring, clean and level the subfloor, and perform minor repairs to ensure a smooth, secure surface for new material.
• Installation: Measure, cut, and lay quartz vinyl tiles or planks according to design plans and manufacturer specifications. Use appropriate adhesives or locking mechanisms to ensure a seamless, durable installation.
• Finishing: Apply finishing materials, such as sealants or trim, and ensure all edges are properly sealed. Replace baseboards and complete any other necessary finishing work.
• Cleanup: Maintain a clean and organized work area throughout the project and ensure the site is thoroughly cleaned upon completion.
• Communication and client relations: Effectively communicate with clients and project managers regarding job status, project requirements, and care instructions for the new flooring.
• Blueprint interpretation: Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and technical drawings to determine material placement and layout.

Required skills and qualifications

• Technical expertise: Proven experience in flooring installation, with specific knowledge of different quartz vinyl products, installation techniques, and best practices.
• Tool proficiency: Expertise in using a variety of hand and power tools relevant to flooring installation, such as cutters, rollers, trowels, and measuring instruments.
• Math and measurement skills: Excellent basic math skills for accurately calculating materials and precisely measuring spaces.
• Physical stamina: The ability to lift heavy materials, stand or kneel for extended periods, and perform the physically demanding aspects of the job.
• Problem-solving: A proactive approach to troubleshooting and resolving installation issues effectively.
• Attention to detail: A high level of precision to ensure that flooring patterns are properly aligned and that the finished product meets quality standards.
• Communication and collaboration: Good interpersonal skills to work effectively with team members, clients, and other tradespeople.
• Customer service: A professional and courteous demeanor when interacting with clients to ensure customer satisfaction.
