Pacific Business Partners is seeking a proactive Full Charge Bookkeeper (Certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor) to join our Business Accounting division. This role supports multiple client accounts while collaborating with other bookkeepers to improve processes and efficiencies.

As a Full Charge Bookkeeper, you will manage and maintain accurate financial records for multiple clients using QuickBooks Online and QuickBooks Desktop. Responsibilities include processing accounting records, maintaining organized documentation, managing charts of accounts, completing reconciliations, and preparing monthly financial reports.

This is a client-facing role where you will serve as the primary contact for assigned accounts while supporting the founder and clients with reporting, financial data management, and internal audits as needed.

Success in this role requires strong organization, attention to detail, and excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate financial records for multiple client accounts using QuickBooks Online and QuickBooks Desktop
  • Perform data entry, maintain charts of accounts, and ensure proper financial categorization
  • Process accounts payable (A/P), accounts receivable (A/R), bills, and invoices
  • Perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations
  • Prepare monthly financial reports including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports
  • Manage and maintain organized accounting documentation and digital files
  • Review and audit charts of accounts and financial records for accuracy
  • Identify and correct prior bookkeeping discrepancies or errors
  • Assist with budget creation and cash flow forecasting to support business planning and decision-making
  • Track project progress, manage timelines, and report on client-related accounting projects
  • Support internal audits and financial reviews as needed
  • Maintain documentation and workflow processes using tools such as Google Drive
  • Provide client support and serve as a point of contact for financial record questions
  • Compile end-of-month reports and supporting schedules

Qualifications:

  • Prior CPA firm or public accounting experience working with multiple sets of books preferred
  • Certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor with at least 2 years of certification
  • Minimum of 2 years experience as a Full Charge Bookkeeper
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel including worksheets and formulas
  • Experience managing accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger activity
  • Experience with bank reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Experience preparing and reviewing financial statements
  • Experience with month-end close processes including journal entries and accruals
  • Ability to reconcile and post payroll, inventory adjustments, and other month-end entries
  • Ability to maintain fixed asset schedules and depreciation tracking
  • Knowledge of sales tax reporting, 1099 preparation, business licenses, and business property statements
  • Experience preparing payroll tax returns and sales tax returns preferred
  • Previous tax preparation experience is a plus but not required

W-2 position (Part time): This position is a hybrid of onsite/offsite that is based in Long Beach,CA. Remote work may be considered for the right candidate.
