POSITION SUMMARY:

The Court Ambassador will perform prescribed daily court & facility maintenance duties, work closely with the management and internal departments to achieve maximum community interest and involvement. This position will be responsible for greeting and welcoming members and their guests. This position is a first point of contact between guests and the facility. Individuals are expected to maintain a pleasant and friendly demeanor while always providing excellent customer service.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:

  • Directly aligns with the venue's Mission Statement and Core Values
  • Ensure facility users adhere to venue guidelines to provide a safe atmosphere for users and protect the facility from property damage
  • Monitor all players are playing in the appropriate skill level and following court assignments
  • Report any court or equipment defects to the management
  • Carry out standard upkeep/maintenance of courts and equipment and make certain they are safe to use and industry standard compliant
  • Adhere to sanitization procedures in venue
  • Perform general upkeep and other necessary tasks as needed during each shift
  • Set up and tear down of equipment as needed for events, etc.
  • Ensure all members are following appropriate code of conduct
  • Perform all other duties as assigned by Managers on Duty

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must be at least 18 years old or older
  • Experience in a tennis facility setting
  • Clay and Hard-court maintenance experience
  • Flexible work schedule (e.g., nights, weekends, holidays, and long hours) and regular attendance necessary
  • Must have excellent guest service skills
  • Must work well in a team environment

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Must be able to lift 40 pounds waist high
  • Will be required to stand for extended periods of time indoor and outdoor
  • Must have a flexible schedule (mornings, nights, weekends, holidays, etc.)
  • Facility has intermittent noise
