Railcar Cleaning Technician

Job Overview

We’re looking for a reliable, hard-working Railcar Cleaning Technician to join our team in Worthington, MN. This is hands-on work cleaning tank cars and hopper cars inside and out. If you’re not afraid of physical work, can follow safety rules, and show up every day ready to work, we’ll train you.

General Duties:

• Manual cleaning of fittings, openings, valves, and exterior / interior tank car surfaces, including confined space entry
• Operate plant systems such as; computer controlled wash equipment, steam boiler, pressure washer, water treatment equipment, tank systems, air monitors, etc.
• Assist with rail car switching via SwitchMaster
• Ensure plant cleanliness and general equipment maintenance

Skills and Qualifications

• Good work history, reliable transportation.
• High school diploma / GED
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Very attentive to detail with quality-minded focus
• Experience in manufacturing, transportation, industrial cleaning, repair, food, feed, packing and Ag industries is helpful.

Working Conditions

• Indoor and outdoor; heat, cold, wet, humid, wind and dusty conditions
• Must use personal protective equipment as required
• Flexibility to change shifts and work weekends, as needed
