Position Summary
The Raw Material Coordinator is responsible for maintaining raw material inventory and operating cut-steel equipment to ensure quality, accuracy, and continuous flow of steel to forging crews.
Essential Functions
- Monitor quality of saw performance and finished cut steel.
- Monitor and control scrap levels.
- Operate and monitor saws and related equipment.
- Organize, track, and maintain raw material and cut steel inventory.
- Perform preventative maintenance on saws (e.g., greasing, lubricating).
- Maintain raw material and cut steel yards, including signage.
- Maintain work area and equipment; perform housekeeping tasks (sweeping, shoveling) to ensure cleanliness and safety.
- Receive raw material, verify identification, and ensure proper labeling.
- Record and input quality inspection information into Plex.
- Maintain a positive and respectful work environment.
- Comply with all safety requirements and company policies.
- Demonstrate situational awareness and respond quickly to safety hazards.

Preferred Education & Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Forging or manufacturing experience preferred
- Must be able to operate a forklift (or willingness to be trained and certified)
Physical Demands
- Prolonged standing required
- Frequent walking, bending, reaching, and handling materials
- Occasional climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, and crouching
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Exposure to moving mechanical parts and vibration
- Ability to use close, distance, peripheral vision, and adjust focus
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
