Raw Material Sourcing Manager (Plant Level)

Reporting to: Senior Manager – Raw Material Sourcing

Job Purpose:

To manage and optimize all raw material procurement activities at the plant level. Responsible for biomass sourcing operations, ensuring quality and cost-effectiveness, and leading the plant-based sourcing team to meet procurement targets aligned with production plans.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement raw material sourcing strategies as per annual targets set by senior management.
• Supervise and guide plant-based sourcing and logistics team members.
• Monitor local biomass availability and collaborate with village suppliers, aggregators, and traders.
• Plan and oversee daily, weekly, and monthly procurement activities to ensure uninterrupted supply.
• Track and control the quality and cost of inbound raw material shipments.
• Maintain relationships with local suppliers and contractors.
• Ensure accurate documentation, MIS reporting, and compliance with company policies and legal norms.
• Coordinate with production and quality control teams to align raw material supply with production schedules.
• Identify and resolve any issues in the sourcing process to minimize disruptions or shortages.
• Implement cost-saving initiatives and process improvements at the plant level.
• Conduct periodic review meetings with the plant-level sourcing team.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Graduate (Agriculture, Supply Chain, or related field preferred).
• 3+ years of experience in commodity procurement, logistics, or agriculture, with at least 2 years at supervisory level.
• Sound knowledge of local biomass supply landscape and vendor management.
• Strong leadership and communication skills; proficiency in local language preferred.
• Computer proficiency (MS Excel, ERP systems).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹287,885.31 - ₹1,254,326.83 per year
