R&D LAB TECH

Gold Coast Ingredients, Inc. is a manufacturer of food flavors and colors. We have an immediate opening for a Q.C. Technician.

Responsibilities include:

• Perform QC tasks including product sampling, line monitoring, auditing, lab testing and calibration to ensure compliance to specifications
• Responsible for placing products on hold that does not meet company quality standards and provide appropriate disposition
• Understand all of the information contained with a product specification sheet
• Conduct lab testing procedures such as brix, refractory index, sensory, weights, moisture testing, etc.

Position Requirements:

Q.C. Lab Technician experience (1-3 years), preferably in the food manufacturing industry, to include knowledge/proficiency with PH meters, UV visual, measurement equipment, viscosity gauges.

Gas Chromatography experience a plus.

Skilled in quality processing including tasting, collection and recording production processes and recording samples testing.

BA/BS degree in Chemistry or related science field or AA degree in related field or equivalent preferred; high school diploma or equivalent required.

Must be able to pass background check.

Must be available to work one day on weekend, rotating schedule.

Must be able to wear a respirator.
