Tata Electronics (a wholly owned subsidiary of Tata Sons Pvt. Ltd.) is building India’s first AI-enabled state-of-the-art Semiconductor Foundry. This facility will produce chips for applications such as power management IC, display drivers, microcontrollers (MCU) and high-performance computing logic, addressing the growing demand in markets such as automotive, computing and data storage, wireless communications and artificial intelligence.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsible for regular TOF-SIMS analysis to support the Semiconductor Fab Startup in Dholera (Gujrat) and support the technology bring-up by examining wafer implant profiles, dopant concentrations, surface contamination, and microimaging.

Conduct TOF-SIMS analysis to support Facilities qualification and regular contamination analysis, also find the source of contamination on Silicon wafer, such as impurities in Ultra-pure water, chemicals and Gases.

Work with stakeholders across departments and technology development teams to isolate the root cause of contamination or failures and drive yield improvement.

Work with equipment suppliers on maintenance and preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and improve overall cost of ownership.

Training to peers/technicians in TOF-SIMS techniques, develop cross trained workforce, and document the best practices.

Assist the Lab management for overall Lab operations

QUALIFICATION:
-
M.S or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science or equivalent
-
Strong understanding of Time of Flight Secondary Ion mass Spectroscopy (SIMS) or Magnetic Sector SIMS
-
Some understanding for CMOS Semiconductor manufacturing will be helpful

Ability to participate in cross-functional teams and achieve project completion within timeline and cost targets

DESIRED EXPERIENCE LEVEL:

2-3+ years experience in the semiconductor industry will be helpful with handson experience on TOF-SIMS or Magnetic sector SIMS
