Duties
- Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing dental instruments and ensuring all equipment is functioning properly according to dental sterilization procedures and infection prevention management standards.
- Assist dentist chairside during a variety of procedures such as oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry - providing four-handed dentistry support for efficiency and patient comfort.
- Take x-rays and medical imaging using advanced equipment like 3D scanners (Dexis)while adhering to HIPAA regulations and radiation safety protocols.
- Manage patient records accurately using patient management software (Dentrix), ensuring all patient records are up-to-date and compliant with clinical policies.
- Conduct vital signs assessments and document medical history updates to support comprehensive patient care.
- Educate patients on oral health practices, post-treatment care instructions, and explain dental terminology clearly to foster understanding and compliance.
- Support other team members in various areas of the office to ensure ideal patient flow.
Experience Required
- Current RDA licensure
- Hands-on knowledge of dental assisting techniques including chairside assisting, dental instrument processing, infection control protocols, etc.
- Experience operating dental equipment such as X-ray machines, 3D scanners, and other clinical tools with precision.
- Strong understanding of healthcare infection prevention and control standards including HIPAA compliance.
- Familiarity with Dentrix
- Ability to handle various ages of patients with patience and professionalism.
- Excellent communication skills
- Team player - willing to jump in wherever needed

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
