React Native Developer

The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, testing, and debugging Albert's mobile applications with React Native. This candidate should have a strong command of JavaScript/Typescript, and the ability to create well-designed and user-friendly front-end interfaces to meet user and business requirements.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain high-quality mobile application features using React Native (iOS & Android)
• Build beautiful, pixel-perfect, performant UIs that feel native on both platforms
• Collaborate closely with Product, Design (UI/UX), and Backend teams to deliver end-to-end features
• Own feature delivery from technical design → implementation → testing → release → iteration
• Leverage native modules/APIs when needed for deeper platform integrations (e.g., permissions, camera, push, storage, background tasks)
• Create and maintain reusable components, shared libraries, and internal tooling to speed up development
• Ensure code quality via code reviews, testing, and documentation; contribute to frontend standards and best practices
• Optimize applications for performance, scalability, maintainability, and security
• Debug production issues and improve app stability using monitoring/crash reporting tools
• Help mentor junior engineers and actively contribute to team technical discussions and decision-making

Qualifications

• 4+ years experience in frontend development
• Experience developing with React Native, Redux (Android/iOS Apps)
• Experience with popular React Native workflows
• JavaScript and TypeScript experience, including concepts like asynchronous programming, closures, types, and ES6
• Good knowledge of CSS and HTML
• Experience with REST APIs and services
• Experience with unit testing
• Familiarity using Scrum/Agile development methodologies
• Teamwork skills with a problem-solving attitude
• Practical knowledge of agile software development methodologies
• Good command of written and spoken English
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science
