Read Aloud Teacher

1. Planning and Preparation

• Select age-appropriate and engaging storybooks.
• Prepare lesson plans focused on vocabulary, comprehension, and speaking skills.
• Understand the theme, characters, and learning objectives before each session.
• Arrange necessary teaching materials, props, or visual aids.

2. Conducting Read-Aloud Sessions

• Read with proper voice modulation, expressions, and pacing.
• Engage students with storytelling techniques such as gestures, tone, and pauses.
• Encourage active listening and participation from students.
• Ask guiding questions before, during, and after the story.

3. Developing Language Skills

• Teach new vocabulary and sentence structures from the story.
• Support students in improving pronunciation and fluency.
• Encourage students to retell the story or share their thoughts.
• Build comprehension through discussions, summarizing, and prediction activities.

4. Classroom Engagement and Management

• Maintain a calm, positive, and interactive learning environment.
• Ensure all students are attentive and involved.
• Manage classroom behaviour effectively during sessions.
• Promote confidence, respect, and collaboration among learners.

5. Assessment and Feedback

• Observe students’ listening, speaking, and comprehension skills.
• Provide constructive feedback to help them improve.
• Maintain basic records of participation and progress.
• Communicate observations with parents or the academic coordinator when required.

6. Supportive Activities

• Plan follow-up activities such as drawing, role-play, or vocabulary worksheets.
• Encourage reading habits and help develop children’s interest in books.
• Collaborate with other teachers for thematic learning.

7. Professional Responsibilities

• Be punctual and well-prepared for sessions.
• Attend training sessions or workshops to enhance teaching techniques.
• Maintain professionalism with students, parents, and staff.

Pay: ₹12,196.99 - ₹18,436.21 per month
