Duties
- Meet with neurodivergent students in grades 2-5 and deliver engaging reading instruction tailored to individual student needs related to their education plan
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, special educators, and parents to create effective lesson plans focused on literacy education and overall childhood development
- Utilize Learning Management Systems (LMS) to track student progress, organize resources, and facilitate communication among stakeholders
- Implement evidence-based strategies for behavior management and conflict resolution to foster a positive learning environment
- Conduct assessments to identify students’ reading levels and monitor growth over time, adjusting instruction accordingly
- Provide tutoring sessions and academic advising to support students’ reading skills, including early childhood education and preschool experience learners
Skills
- Expertise in curriculum development, lesson planning, and instructional design tailored to diverse learners
- Strong knowledge of literacy education, math integration, and learning technology tools such as LMS platforms
- Experience working with children in special education settings
- Classroom management skills with proven ability to engage students of various ages, from toddlers to early childhood learners
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with educators, parents, and students effectively
- Familiarity with private school environments, Montessori methods, or preschool experience is a plus
- Writing skills necessary for creating instructional materials, reports, and progress updates
Job Types: Part-time, Contract
Pay: $45.00 - $65.00 per hour
Expected hours: 2.0 – 10.0 per week
