Ready-to-Eat (RTE) Production & Food Safety Program Manager

JOB SUMMARY
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Ready-to-Eat (RTE) Production & Food Safety Program Manager to lead our food safety initiatives and oversee the quality systems within our manufacturing environment. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that our RTE products meet all safety, quality, and regulatory standards while supporting continuous improvement efforts. The ideal candidate is passionate about food safety, possesses strong project management skills, and thrives in a collaborative setting to uphold the highest standards in food production.

POSITION OVERVIEW

We seek a highly experienced and detail-driven RTE Production & Food Safety Manager to operate our (RTE) wholesale food manufacturing program.

  • The ideal candidate will be accountable for the following:
  • Schedule, manage and execute all RTE production.
  • Recruit, manage, train and develop RTE employees and monitor performance.
  • Prepare for, facilitate, and execute successful internal, third-party and governmental audits.
  • Manage CAPA, NC, Deviations, and Supplier Quality programs.
  • Monitor and continuously improve ingredient and labor inputs to maximize profitability.
  • Ensure all production and CCP documentation is correctly completed.
  • Periodically review and refine all Quality and Prerequisite programs scaling to volume and shaping to the product line
  • Ensure production facilities and equipment are clean, operational and in compliance with all internal and external standards.

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

  • 4 to 7 years of experience in regulated food manufacturing food environment
  • Extensive experience with HACCP program management and implementation
  • Experience with food safety audits (NSF, USDA, FDA, SQF, BRC or PCQI)
  • Demonstrable knowledge of FDA, USDA food safety regulations
  • Proven ability to accurately manage documentation systems
  • Strong problem-solving and time management skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel required)
  • P&L and Financials proficiency
  • Highly detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Self-directed and capable of working independently
  • Strong leadership presence and accountability mindset
  • Able to operate effectively in a fast-paced, evolving production environment
  • Solutions-focused mindset with continuous improvement
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
  • Familiarity with Kosher foods production a plus

  • Ability to perform the below physical requirements in a commercial kitchen setting within a regulated production program and fast-paced, high-volume environment, in a working environment which provides exposure to environmental changes (heat, cold, dampness, and chemicals). Employee must be able to sustain these changes throughout the shift
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, and reach overhead
  • Ability to work in both standard kitchen temperatures and walk-in coolers (30°–40°F)
  • Ability to safely and effectively utilize kitchen knives, scales and other food prep tools
  • Must be able to work in a food allergens environment.

ELIGIBILITY

  • Be at least 18 years of age and authorized to work in the United States
  • Be available to work a full-time position, including Weekends and Holidays
  • Be able to pass a background check
  • Be available to work mandatory overtime as needed
  • Be able to complete the application/orientation process in English

Pay: $50,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
