A nationally recognized law firm is seeking a Senior Commercial Real Estate Attorney to join its Charlotte office. This role is designed for a highly experienced attorney with deep knowledge of complex real estate transactions and development matters. The position offers the opportunity to lead sophisticated deals and work closely with high-profile clients within a collaborative and well-resourced national platform.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as lead counsel on a wide range of real estate matters, including acquisitions, dispositions, financings, leasing, and development projects.
  • Negotiate and draft purchase agreements, joint venture agreements, financing documents, and commercial leases.
  • Provide strategic counsel to developers, investors, financial institutions, and corporate clients on complex real estate transactions.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across practice areas, including tax, litigation, and corporate, to deliver comprehensive client service.
  • Mentor junior attorneys and contribute to the continued growth of the firm’s real estate practice in the Southeast.

Qualifications:

  • J.D. from an accredited law school and active license (or eligibility) to practice law in North Carolina.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in real estate law, with significant transactional experience required.
  • Strong background handling large-scale, complex real estate deals.
  • Excellent negotiation, drafting, and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently manage client relationships and lead transactions.
