We are seeking a Real Estate Attorney to join our team and support our clients with real estate matters while helping resolve complex title issues.

Position Overview

The Real Estate Attorney will play a key advisory and drafting role within our agency. You will work directly with clients and internal underwriting teams to prepare legal documents, address real estate issues outside the scope of title insurance, and support the overall title and closing process. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys problem-solving, providing excellent client service, and working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

  • Draft and prepare transaction-specific legal documents, such as: Easements, Affidavits, Rights of first refusal, private mortgages, and other real estate instruments as needed
  • Consult with clients regarding real estate matters beyond title insurance coverage.
  • Collaborate with our underwriting and closing teams to develop creative and compliant solutions to complex title issues.
  • Assist with title examination and title commitment production
  • Ensure legal compliance and maintain accuracy and consistency in document preparation.
  • Provide clear, professional communication to internal teams, clients, lenders, and other parties involved in transactions.

  • Experience practicing real estate law (experience with title insurance or the closing process is a plus).

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the state bar and active license to practice law.
  • Experience drafting and negotiating real estate transactional documents.
  • Prior experience in a title, closing, or real estate law office preferred.

Job Type: Part-time

Base Pay: $38.00 - $41.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 30 per week
