Real Estate Investment Senior Associate

Job purpose

As a member of the Real Estate Investments team, the Sr. Associate will contribute to the success of AIC’s real estate portfolio by supporting investment analysis, market research, financial modeling, transaction execution, and other portfolio initiatives. This high-impact role offers exceptional exposure to strategic planning, investment structuring, and cross-functional collaboration across a diverse range of asset classes and markets. The Sr. Associate will play an active role in liaising with internal teams and external partners gaining hands-on experience across the full investment lifecycle in a dynamic and growth-oriented environment.


Core Responsibilities:

  • Be an active player in conducting market research and maintain current intelligence on real estate trends, macroeconomic developments, and sector benchmarks to directly inform investment strategy and portfolio positioning.
  • Support the preparation of investment screening memorandums and presentations for executive and committee-level approvals of new investments and development projects.
  • Build and maintain financial models to assess investment feasibility, support underwriting decisions, and evaluate return scenarios across the different real estate asset classes.
  • Monitor performance metrics of existing assets and projects, and deliver periodic, data-driven reports that support asset management strategies and operational improvements.
  • Actively support transaction planning and execution by contributing to deal structuring, financial analysis, due diligence coordination, and preparation of internal approval materials.
  • Actively support portfolio-level initiatives including assets and land monetization strategies and development of business cases, by conducting various analyses, benchmarking, and financial scenario modeling to inform strategic decisions.
  • Take the lead on the evaluation of development and investment opportunities by preparing feasibility studies, analyzing investments, and coordinating with internal teams and external consultants to validate key assumptions.
  • Communicate with external partners including fund managers, operating partners, and service providers to conduct due diligence, gather updates, update data, and ensure alignment on ongoing investment activities.
  • Drive the coordination of internal meetings and planning sessions by preparing briefing materials, tracking departmental initiatives, and capturing strategic actions and outcomes.
  • Ensure adherence to internal governance frameworks, investment policies, and reporting protocols, safeguarding the integrity and consistency of the investment process.
  • Collaborate with legal, investment operations, and other internal stakeholders to enable efficient transaction execution, risk management, and lifecycle portfolio oversight.
  • Manage the preparation and administration of Requests for Proposals (RFPs), liaise with external advisors, and support the objective evaluation of proposals to secure best-in-class partners in line with due diligence program and objectives.
  • Contribute to the enhancement and implementation of investment policies, operational processes, and departmental procedures, reinforcing AIC’s commitment to excellence, compliance, and long-term value creation.
  • Support the Real Estate Investment teams across all department activities and initiatives


Job Specific Skills:

  • Graduate degree from a reputable institution in economics, finance, accounting or similar discipline
  • Real estate experience in a reputable investment company, family offices, or fund manager, or specialized multinational real estate advisory firm
  • Working knowledge in real estate investment and management.
  • Experience in the different real estate asset classes such as commercial offices, retail, hospitality, logistics…etc
  • Experience in transactions involving the establishment of private funds, joint ventures, or investment platforms.
  • Ability to comprehend, synthesize, evaluate and clearly communicate real estate financial models, concepts and solutions.


Qualification & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in in economics, finance, accounting or similar discipline, a Master’s degree in a relevant field is preferred.
  • CFA, CAIA and other similar investment management professional qualifications is a plus.
  • From 4 to 6 years of experience in the Real Estate Investment field.
