Real Estate Paralegal

Time Equities, Inc., an international real estate company based in Manhattan, is seeking a Real Estate Paralegal to support its in-house legal department with commercial real estate closings, leasing, and syndications. The ideal candidate should have at least 5 to 7 years of experience as a Real Estate Paralegal. This individual must possess strong knowledge in handling and maintaining various documents and should have experience with drafting, titles, and surveys. The successful candidate will be well-versed in all aspects of real estate transactions, including escrow, entity formation, New York City condominium and co-op closings, as well as condominium filings with the New York Attorney General’s office. In addition to subject matter expertise, the candidate will assist in preparing closing documents, investor subscription documents, and provide support to attorneys in financing matters.

Responsibilities

  • Drafting various documents, including closing documents, and organizing files.
  • Preparing all closing documents and attending closings for the sale of co-ops and condominiums in New York City.
  • Assisting with post-closing matters, including mailing, closing binders, and transfer agreements. Preparing leases and lease amendments.
  • Managing all preparations for closing documents, investor documents, and assisting the attorney with closings.
  • Must be comfortable meeting deadlines consistently

Qualifications

  • At least 5 to 7 years of experience as a Real Estate Paralegal
  • Paralegal certification experience
  • Proficient in all Microsoft Word programs, Outlook, and Windows-based software
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field
  • Must be detail-oriented and a self-starter
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills - Must be comfortable meeting deadlines consistently

95-100K - Salary Compensation commensurate with experience.
