Real Estate Paralegal

Prominent New York City real estate law firm seeks an experienced Residential Real Estate Paralegal to join our team.

Located in the heart of Manhattan, our firm has built a well-established residential real estate practice representing lenders, purchasers, and sellers in transactions across New York. This position will primarily support our lender representation practice, working closely with mortgage lenders, borrowers, attorneys, title companies, and related parties to bring each file to closing.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced paralegal who can play a key role in managing residential real estate transactions from opening through closing.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate residential real estate closings as lender counsel in purchase and refinance transactions.
• Work directly with lenders, borrowers, brokers, attorneys, and title companies throughout the closing process.
• Handle transactions including coops, CEMAs, home equities, etc.
• Prepare and review Closing Disclosures (CDs) and lender closing packages.
• Review title reports and lien searches and assist with clearance.
• Maintain organized transaction files and ensure timely communication with all parties in the closing process.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 2+ years of residential real estate experience (experience with lender representation strongly preferred).
• Comprehensive understanding of all New York residential real estate transaction types.
• Experience coordinating high-volume and manage multiple files in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
• Proficiency with settlement software and Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Willingness to undergo a background check.

Licenses, Certifications & Education:

• New York Notary Public License (Required)
• Bachelors Degree (Preferred)

Salary Range:

• $70,000 - $140,000

Pay: $70,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
