Receiving & Warehousing Associate

SeaBear Company is seeking a dedicated Receiving and Warehousing associate, which has the primary responsibility for the receipt and storage of perishable and non-perishable products/material into and out of the facility. This position will also serve as our alternative delivery driver.

This full-time, year-round position offers a schedule of Monday through Thursday, 6am – 430pm, with some overtime/occasional Fridays as needed. Compensation will be between $19 -$22/hr., depending on experience/certifications.

This position is based at our production facility in Anacortes, WA, and will report to our Distribution Manager.


Responsibilities:

  • Serve as primary receiver of delivered goods at the warehouse
  • Ensure all products are warehoused appropriately, in freezers or racks, ensuring accessibility and limited safety hazards
  • Schedule all LTL shipments, track and confirm deliveries, billing accuracy; prepare all BOLs and carrier coordination
  • Process returns, review shipping options, maintain inventory records, recall sheets, data entry, and associated functions with the warehouse


Requirements:

  • Safely operate a 16ft refrigerated box truck (no CDL required)
  • Provide documentation of a safe driving record from WA DOL and pass a background check
  • Hold a proper and valid driver's license and meet insurance requirements
  • Forklift experience/certification a plus

Working Conditions:

  • Standing for 2-hour periods at a time
  • Lifting and moving boxes weighing up to 50lbs
  • Manual dexterity to operate functional tools of vehicle, including loading/unloading with pallet jack, stand up forklift, etc.
  • Full range of motion for pushing, pulling, twisting, stooping, reaching, grasping associated items
  • Ability to work in temperatures ranging from -18F to 80F
