Front Office Receptionist
Presents a good image to the guests by appearance and attitude. Handles check-in and checkout services for the guests and assists them with their requests during the entire stay.

What you will be doing:
- Registers and assigns rooms to guests:
- Greets the guests upon arrival
- Inquires if they have a reservation
- Advice the guest about the room rate
- Makes sure the guest completes all necessary information for registration.
- Determines the method of payment for the account.
- Prepares arrivals for the day with back up correspondence.
- Makes room assignment for groups and individuals
- Runs and follows up “Trace Report” of the system.
- Reads and follows up on logbook information and hand over.
- Stays up to date on room rates, packages, discounts, promotions, and their operational details.
- Develops a thorough knowledge of the following:
- IDS Front Office System and Reports
- Hotels’ staff and services and operating hours
- Has knowledge about how to make and change reservations.
- Prepares group envelopes and meal plan in line with Group Instruction Sheet.
- Goes through and be informed of arrivals of the day.
- Runs “Back Up Reports” for every shift
- Delivers messages and faxes upon arrival of the guest
- Understands and follows up on proper mail, package, and message handling procedures.
- Has an updated information of the daily activities, event and meetings taking place in the hotel.
- Gives directions to the guests for the location’s hotel premises and guest rooms.
- Informs Guest relations of the arrival of VIP s and other guests to be escorted.
- Arranges bellboys to escort the guests to the rooms upon c-in and carry the luggage.
- Makes room changes, if necessary, informs all necessary departments.
- Communicates the changes, requests, and current room situation to HK department.
- Ensures the information flow between the guests and other departments by assisting them.
- Services must be courteous, friendly, and efficient at all times.
- Files all FO reports by the end of the shift or the day.
- Updates all guest information from registration card to the computer system.
- Updates any special notes or requests for the guest and frequent flyer card numbers to the profile field and saves the information for future reference.
- Follows up on departures of the day.
- Knows cash handling procedures, files post all charges to Guest Ledger and City Ledger accounts.
- Issues safe deposit boxes to guests as per policy.
- Posts checks manually if there is an interface problem.
- Checks out guests and ensures the following attachments and details are complete:
- Billing address is complete
- Travel Agent voucher covers the services being billed
- Credit card voucher has been imprinted and completed correctly and signed.
- Receives room or function deposits and provides necessary receipts.
- Credits advance payments to guest folios.
- Maintains the cleanliness and tidiness of the Front Desk area, utilizes free time for tidiness of work areas.
- Handles guest complaints, informs management if necessary.
- Promotes selling of high rated rooms.
- Knows and follows the fire and safety regulations of the hotel.
- Performs other duties assigned by his/her supervisor.
- Answers and follows up Guest Service Line as per policy.
Your experience and skills include:
- 2-year experience in similar experience.
- Ability to work from multiple shifts includes Night Shift.
- Excellent reading, writing, and oral proficiency in the English language.
- Proficient in any PMS and MS Office.
- Flexibility to respond to a range of different work situations.

Pay: QAR1,800.00 - QAR3,350.00 per month
