Job Title: Receptionist

Department: Front Office / OPD
Reporting to: Hospital Administrator / Front Office Manager
Experience: 1–4 years (experience in hospital or healthcare preferred)
Employment Type: Full-time (must be open to rotational or night shifts if required)
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and assist patients and visitors in a polite and professional manner.
- Register new patients and manage appointments for consultants, OPD, and diagnostics.
- Answer telephone calls promptly; handle inquiries or direct them to the concerned department.
- Maintain patient records, update information in the hospital management software/EMR.
- Guide patients on billing, insurance documentation, and other administrative procedures.
- Coordinate with departments like nursing, lab, radiology, and pharmacy for smooth patient flow.
- Ensure waiting areas and front desk are clean, organized, and welcoming.
- Collect and record feedback from patients regarding services.
- Handle complaints calmly and escalate to Admin/Manager when needed.
- Manage shift handovers and maintain logs of daily activities.
Key Requirements:
- Graduate in any discipline (preferred: Hospital Administration or related field).
- 1–4 years of experience in a hospital or clinic front desk role.
- Basic computer skills; familiarity with hospital software (e.g., MedSys, Insta, or similar).
- Excellent communication skills in English, Hindi, and local language.
- Good interpersonal skills and a patient-friendly attitude.
- Ability to multitask and work under pressure.
Preferred Qualities:
- Presentable with a pleasant personality.
- Experience handling billing or TPA coordination is a plus.
- Willingness to work night shifts or weekends if required.
