Summary/Objective
The position of Receptionist is established to perform support and assistance to customers and staff at the Thompson, Hall & Jordan location. We are a group of caregivers that are committed to supporting families and our community during difficult times. Primary Duties:

Customer Service:
- Professional communication skills, both verbal and written
- Interface with customers in-person, electronically and on the phone
- Computer Proficiency with MS Office – Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Administrative and Clerical support
- Strong attention to detail
Reception Desk – Spring Grove Cemetery
- Answers all incoming calls and effectively direct callers to appropriate staff member.
- Takes accurate, clear, and concise messages for individuals when need arises.
- Answers routine questions associated with services, products, location directions, navigating our website etc.
- Utilizes a variety of systems and platforms to communicate and upload information, such as Microsoft Office 365, SharePoint, and Outlook.
- Maintain general appearance of lobby and customer meeting rooms.
- Assists and directs walk-in visitors and customers.
- Demonstrate a commitment to anticipating, understanding, and responding to both internal and external customer needs. Is sensitive to the unique needs of customers in the Death Care Industry.
- Receives, sorts, and delivers incoming mail and packages.
- Manage service requests.
- Stock and maintain inventory of all literature, marketing material and brochures in lobby.
- Manage lobby activities such as flower deliveries, lost & found requests, etc.
- Manage customer service information and documents on SharePoint.
- Assists with clerical duties as needed, including copying, labeling, etc.
- Manages cashbox
- General knowledge of Spring Grove Family company employees, events, tours, products, and services.
Work Environment
This position operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, printers, and fax machines.
Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to talk and/or hear. The employee frequently is required to sit; stand; walk; and reach with hands and arms. Required to lift up to 30 pounds. Repetitive motion includes answering phones daily.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time Non-Exempt position. Business days and hours of work are:
Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM & two (2) Saturday’s a month with the following Monday’s off.

Required Education, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Experience
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Minimum one-year office or telephone reception work.
- Great Customer Service Skills, must display a calm attitude.
- Comprehensive listening skills,
- Ability to take direction.
- Work Great with people. Team Player.
- Displays a “Customer First” attitude.
