Front Office Receptionist

The Front Office Receptionist serves as the first point of contact for students, families, staff, and visitors and helps maintain a welcoming, organized, and professional school environment. This position provides administrative and clerical support to the school office while assisting with daily operations and communication.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet and assist students, parents, visitors, and staff in a friendly and professional manner
  • Answer and direct phone calls, emails, and general inquiries
  • Manage student check-in/check-out procedures and visitor sign-in processes
  • Assist with attendance records, data entry, filing, and general office organization
  • Support administrators and office staff with clerical and administrative tasks
  • Maintain confidentiality of student and staff information
  • Distribute messages, mail, and school communications as needed
  • Help coordinate schedules, appointments, and front office operations
  • Ensure the front office area remains organized and welcoming

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Previous office, receptionist, or customer service experience preferred
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Basic computer and office software proficiency
  • Professional demeanor and commitment to confidentiality

Physical/Work Environment:

  • Work is primarily performed in a school office setting
  • Frequent interaction with students, families, staff, and visitors
  • May require occasional lifting of office materials or supplies
