Receptionist cum Hostess

Responsibilities :-

Guest Relations:

Greet guests warmly upon arrival and escort them to their tables.

Provide menus and inform guests about daily specials or promotions.

Maintain a professional, friendly, and welcoming atmosphere at all times.

Handle guest inquiries, complaints, and special requests efficiently and politely.

Reservations & Seating:

Manage and update reservations using the restaurant’s booking system.

Coordinate table assignments based on guest preferences and operational flow.

Ensure the waiting area is well-managed and communicate estimated wait times.

Maintain accurate guest logs and assist with walk-in management.

Front Desk & Communication:

Answer phone calls and emails related to reservations, events, or general inquiries.

Liaise with the kitchen and service teams to coordinate seating and service timing.

Keep the front desk and entrance area clean, organized, and presentable at all times.

Assist with basic administrative tasks such as maintaining records, menus, or guest feedback forms.

Team Support:

Collaborate with servers, bartenders, and supervisors to ensure excellent guest service.

Support the service team during busy hours by assisting with guest seating or service needs.

Communicate effectively with the management regarding any operational or guest-related issues.

Qualifications and Skills:

Minimum 1–2 years of experience as a Hostess, Receptionist, or Guest Relations Officer, preferably in a restaurant or hospitality setting.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Strong customer service orientation with a pleasant and confident personality.

Ability to handle multiple tasks under pressure while maintaining a professional demeanor.

Proficient in using reservation systems (e.g., OpenTable, Resy) and basic computer applications (MS Office).

Good command of English; additional languages are a plus.

Well-groomed and presentable at all times.

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent qualification.

Diploma or certificate in Hospitality Management or related field preferred.

Working Conditions:

Flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.

Long hours of standing and guest interaction may be required.

Work environment may include both indoor and outdoor settings depending on the restaurant.
