Receptionist/Legal Assistant

Receptionist/Legal Secretary Position

Position Overview:

  • Looking for a motivated receptionist/legal secretary to perform clerical tasks at law office. The primary role of the receptionist/legal secretary is to ensure the office runs efficiently, handling standard administrative duties such as answering phones, managing and maintaining documentation, sending and processing electronic communications and physical mail, and accurately creating, editing, and formatting legal documents.

This a 5-day a week role in an office. Monday through Friday 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. One hour break for lunch.

Responsibilities:

Answering Calls / Taking Messages

Manage reminders, calendar and files

Document preparation and editing

Communicate with clients, attorney and others as directed

Handle incoming and outgoing mail

Scheduling client meetings

Organizing files

Type, file and handle clerical office matters

Assist in overflow work to ensure smooth office operations

Maintain office equipment by replenishing toner in copier and printers when necessary

Must-have qualifications:

High School diploma/ GED equivalent or higher

Familiar with state court practices, including electronic filings

Dependable

Punctual

Preferred Skills:

Ability to operate a PC with strong working knowledge of software such as Microsoft Office and Word

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; bilingual.

Ability to multitask and prioritize work assignments while working with moderate guidance

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $12.00 - $15.00 per hour
