Responsibilities
- Greet patients and visitors with a friendly, professional demeanor, providing excellent customer service at the front desk
- Use EMR (Electronic Medical Records) system (Medent) ensuring accuracy and timely updates
- Handles phone calls with courteous phone etiquette, directing calls efficiently and taking detailed messages when necessary
- Maintain and organize medical records, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and proper documentation review
- Assist with patient intake processes, including collecting medical insurance and updating demographic information accurately
- Support medical administrative tasks such as filing, data entry (including 10 key typing), and managing patient flow within the clinic
- Collaborate with clinical staff to facilitate care plans by providing administrative support related to documentation review and medical billing
- Prepare patients for surgical procedures, including gowning and pre-op support
- Assist with patient transport to and from procedure and recovery areas
- Monitor and document basic patient information (e.g., vital signs, comfort levels) under supervision
- Support nurses and physicians with non-clinical and basic clinical tasks
- Ensure patient rooms and clinical areas are clean, stocked, and organized
- Provide emotional support and clear communication to patients and families
- Assist with post-operative care, including discharge preparation and instructions
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to all healthcare regulations and safety standards
- Assists patients to their vehicles upon discharge
Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent (required)
- Certification as a Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Patient Care Technician (preferred)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (preferred or required upon hire)
- Previous experience in a surgical center, hospital, or clinical setting (preferred)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume, team-oriented environment

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
