Recreation Leader/ ULL Part-time position

**Leaders are responsible for the supervision, planning, maintenance, and development of the Clearport Recreational department. This position requires the ability to multi-task and execute tasks with minimal direction or supervision. Recreation Leaders must utilize influence to build positive relationships and foster mentoring opportunities with teens of diverse backgrounds. Leaders must also ensure daily operational procedures are consistently executed. This position provides a unique experience to engage and inspire local area teens while providing them with necessary life skills and a safe place to have fun. Preferred candidates will have previous experience with mentoring and/or recreational programing. Experience working with teens required.

The Clearport is a free after school program for local high school teens. We offer tutoring, mentoring, job exploration, and a safe space for teens to go after school.

Recreation Leader General Duties:

• Provide mentoring and build relationships with students through effective and consistent interaction.
• Supervise students in recreation area and maintain order by upholding and enforcing recreation area Code of Conduct.
• Assist with planning and execution of recreational programs and activities.
• Plan & Host Daily activities such as crafting, games, and icebreakers.
• Assist and execute food program procedures.
• Consistently execute recreational inventory procedures.
• Manage and direct tutors in helping supervise students.
• Assist with recreation area maintenance, organization, and cleaning duties.
• Be willing and physically able to participate in sports such as Basketball, flag-football, volleyball etc
• Be a role model of professionalism
• Follow employee Code of Conduct
• Participate in transportation of students as needed.

Must have at least 3 evenings available M-F

Job hours 2:30-7:15PM

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $12.00 - $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 per week
