You will become a member of a dynamic and energetic team and be responsible for recruitment efforts through the department’s Response Center.
You will supervise three part-time recruitment staff to include training, scheduling hours, and providing best practices.
You will train your team to provide excellent customer service to both internal and external constituents.
You will build and maintain effective relationships with departmental leadership and other State of Missouri stakeholders as well as develop social and professional networks to source qualified candidates.
You will provide professional reports on progress to various stakeholders on an as-needed basis.
You will be domiciled out of the Central Region Training Academy.
You will often travel throughout the state sometimes requiring overnight stays, as needed.
You will work closely with the Talent Acquisition Coordinator to develop and implement effective recruiting plans and strategies of developing prospects through multiple job boards to include Indeed, Facebook Jobs, Mobile Talent and other boards as identified and developed.
You will work with a team by developing and converting prospects to applicants through multiple job boards and within the applicant tracking system to schedule and confirm interviews along with encouraging prospects to fill out the department’s job applications utilizing best practices.
You will attract applicants by placing and processing job advertisements, using social media and other job sites.
You will track and report metrics to assist in building a data driven team, embrace recruiting technology, improve best practices, and at the same time offer high touch assistance to prospective employees.
You will inform applicants fully about the job and department, coordinate a variety of recruiting initiatives and attend career fairs showcasing the department and the positions available.
You must be able to attend college visits, awareness campaigns, and career fairs and maintain a flexible work schedule to be cross-trained to assist the Talent Acquisition Team, as needed.
You will exercise initiative and independence within established guidelines; receive general administrative direction and be able to work independently, to include some remote work at DOC locations.
Qualifications - All you need for successPreferred Qualifications:
Applicants demonstrating recruiting and/or sales experience are preferred.
Graphic design experience is preferred
Successful applicants will demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills.
You must be available to work flexible days to include Saturday and Sunday, as needed.
You must be able to work flexible hours beyond normal business, as needed.
