Recycling & Logistics Coordinator

Solid Waste Special Service District #1 (dba Canyonlands Solid Waste Authority) is seeking a dedicated individual to manage and expand waste diversion within the District.

Position Summary

The Recycling & Logistics Coordinator is responsible for supervising the daily operations of the CRC and optimizing the District’s recycling and material recovery logistics.

Essential tasks include:

• Ensuring compliance with safety and environmental standards
• Coordinating recycling pickups
• Developing and optimizing current and future recycling routes
• Maintaining records and tracking market trends
• Serving as the liaison between field operations, administrative staff, and external partners

This position requires the ability to work both in an office setting and outdoors in all weather conditions. Building and maintaining strong relationships with outside organizations is critical to success in this role.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSA)

• Organized, efficient, and an effective problem solver
• Strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and route management software
• CDL and light equipment operation experience preferred
• Ability to move between office and field environments
• Capable of performing physical labor, including lifting and moving materials
