Refrigeration and Kitchen Equipment Technician

To perform installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair works on commercial refrigeration systems, chillers, freezers, and kitchen equipment, ensuring all systems operate efficiently and safely to meet client requirements and company service standards.

Key Responsibilities:Technical Duties:

• Diagnose and repair commercial kitchen and refrigeration equipment such as chillers, cold rooms, ovens, fryers, burners, dishwashers, grills, exhaust hoods, and ice machines.
• Perform preventive maintenance as per schedule to avoid equipment downtime.
• Carry out installation, testing, and commissioning of new kitchen and refrigeration units.
• Ensure compliance with manufacturer’s specifications and UAE safety standards.
• Record service reports, maintenance logs, and job completion documentation accurately.
• Identify faulty parts and coordinate with the procurement team for replacements.
• Ensure all tools and instruments are maintained in good condition and calibrated as required.
• Support emergency breakdown calls and provide on-site quick response services.
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the work area at client sites.

Operational & Customer Service:

• Communicate clearly with clients regarding the nature of repairs and preventive steps.
• Represent Dar Al Bahar Technical Services LLC professionally and uphold service quality at all times.
• Provide feedback to management on recurring issues or equipment improvement suggestions.
• Ensure customer satisfaction through efficient and courteous service delivery.

Liabilities and Accountability:Technician Liabilities:

• Responsible for proper use and safety of all company tools, equipment, and vehicles provided.
• Accountable for any loss or damage caused due to negligence, misuse, or non-compliance with safety procedures.
• Liable to report immediately any workplace accident, safety hazard, or equipment malfunction to the supervisor.
• Must not perform unauthorized modifications or bypass safety controls on any equipment.
• Financial or disciplinary liability may apply for damage to client property due to careless work or breach of duty.
• Must protect company confidentiality and client data at all times.

Health, Safety & Compliance:

• Strictly adhere to UAE labour laws, company HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) regulations, and site-specific safety rules.
• Always wear proper PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) during site operations.
• Participate in toolbox talks, safety meetings, and training programs organized by the company.

Administrative Liabilities:

• Responsible for daily service reports, time sheets, and material usage logs.
• Must return unused spare parts, report consumed items, and ensure accurate documentation.
• Failure to follow reporting procedures may result in disciplinary action.

Qualifications & Experience:

• ITI / Diploma in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning or equivalent.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in commercial kitchen and refrigeration equipment servicing within UAE or GCC.
• Valid UAE driving license preferred.
• Knowledge of electrical and mechanical troubleshooting, safety standards, and refrigerant handling.
