JOB RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Spearhead research and development initiatives focused on advanced refrigeration systems and components for commercial and industrial use.
- Conceptualize, design, model, and simulate innovative product concepts and enhancements to existing Rime products, with a strong emphasis on performance, energy efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and seamless integration with our manufacturing processes.
- Evaluate and select optimal components from leading industry suppliers to ensure superior performance and reliability in Rime's products.
- Develop and rigorously execute comprehensive testing protocols to validate the performance, durability, and safety of prototypes and final manufactured products, aligned with the demands of commercial and industrial applications.
- Analyze complex test data, interpret findings, and generate detailed technical reports to inform design decisions and product improvements.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality Assurance, and Sales, to ensure a smooth and efficient product development and launch process that meets the expectations of our clientele.
- Proactively stay abreast of the latest advancements in refrigeration technologies, industry trends, and evolving regulations relevant to commercial and industrial applications.
- Identify and assess new materials, components, and advanced manufacturing techniques to elevate Rime's product quality, optimize performance, and enhance cost-efficiency.
- Contribute to the protection of Rime's innovations through the development of intellectual property, including patents and comprehensive technical documentation.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical challenges related to product design and performance in real-world commercial and industrial settings.
- Actively participate in design review meetings, providing critical technical insights and recommendations.
Knowledge:
- Strong foundation in thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, heat transfer, and materials science
- In-depth knowledge of refrigeration systems and components, various refrigerants including regulations, and control systems.
- Highly skilled in 3D modeling and create the drawings using Solidworks.
- Knowledge of energy efficiency, project management, and troubleshooting are highly desirable.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related engineering discipline. A Master's degree is highly preferred.
- 5 years of proven experience in R&D within the refrigeration industry, with a strong focus on commercial and/or industrial applications.
- Demonstrated proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks) and advanced simulation tools (e.g., MATLAB) for design and analysis.
- Proven experience in data acquisition systems and sophisticated data analysis techniques.

- Component Selection: Assess and choose appropriate components based on technical specifications and application requirements.
- Manufacturing Awareness: Understand the impact of design choices on manufacturing processes.
