Overview

As a key contributor, you will troubleshoot, service, and repair refrigeration units, air conditioning systems, and commercial food equipment helping to uphold safety standards and operational excellence.
Duties
- Perform installation, maintenance, and repair of refrigeration systems, including ammonia refrigeration units and HVAC/R equipment.
- Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and blueprints to diagnose issues accurately.
- Conduct routine inspections of mechanical components such as boilers, pumps, valves, and piping to prevent system failures.
- Utilize field service skills to troubleshoot electrical controls using tools like ohmmeters and multimeters for precise diagnostics.
- Repair or replace mechanical parts through welding, equipment repair techniques, or plumbing adjustments to restore system functionality.
- Maintain detailed service records, logs, and reports documenting work performed and system conditions.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols related to property maintenance, appliance repair, and refrigerant handling procedures.
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in HVAC design, construction practices, and property maintenance.
- Proven service technician experience with refrigeration systems, air conditioning units, boilers, and ammonia refrigeration equipment.
- Ability to read schematics accurately and apply technical knowledge effectively in field service situations.
- Skilled in plumbing repairs and welding techniques necessary for system modifications or emergency repairs.
- Familiarity with HVAC/R standards and regulations; experience with property maintenance is a plus.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean record; experience operating <PERSON> drivers preferred for on-site travel.
- Proficient in using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters for electrical troubleshooting; capable of performing appliance repair efficiently.
