Position Overview

We are seeking a passionate Early Childhood Teacher to join our 3-year-old classroom on a part-time basis. The ideal candidate enjoys observing children's interests, designing engaging provocations, documenting learning, and collaborating with colleagues to create meaningful, child-led experiences.

Responsibilities

• Create a warm, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment.
• Observe children closely and use documentation to inform curriculum planning.
• Design thoughtful provocations based on children's emerging interests.
• Support social-emotional development through respectful relationships.
• Collaborate with teaching partners to plan and reflect on children's learning.
• Maintain open, positive communication with families.
• Foster an environment that reflects the values of the Reggio Emilia approach.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 12 Early Childhood Education (ECE) units required.
• Associate degree required.
• At least 1 year of experience in a Reggio Emilia-inspired or play-based early childhood program required.
• Strong observation, documentation, and reflective practice skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to commute to Fullerton, CA 92833.

• Share examples of provocations or learning experiences they have designed.
• Discuss how observations guided their curriculum planning.
• Participate in a working interview by facilitating a Reggio-inspired learning experience with a small group of children.

Compensation

Compensation is competitive and based on experience, with particular consideration given to experience in Reggio Emilia-inspired programs.

Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
