Your role:

The Regional Competency Center Specialist will play a pivotal role in supporting ABB's Electrification business by leveraging technical expertise and industry knowledge to enhance operational efficiency, drive innovation, and deliver exceptional service to our customers. This position involves collaboration with cross-functional teams, providing training and support, and contributing to the development of cutting-edge solutions in Building Automation.


The work model for the role is: hybrid

This role is contributing to the Building Automation Business Line, Smart Buildings, Electrification in Middle East. Main stakeholders are Sales, Product Management, Business Development

You will be mainly accountable for:

  • Offering technical support to the local sales units and customers (off & on-site) according to local capabilities and requirements. Assisting the setup and development of local competencies according to business development plan
  • Providing technical support during technical meetings, product presentations, and negotiations.
  • Providing specialized knowledge and support in Building Automation solutions.
  • Assisting in the development and implementation of innovative technologies and best practices.
  • Performing analytics and diagnostic studies to determine the most suitable technical solution to meet the customer needs; and proposing the most suitable technical solutions for complex enquiries.
  • Delivering product/solution/service-related training; and supporting the managers in preparing and validating the technical articles to publish.
  • Offering technical advice and providing comments on enquiry specifications for customers/channels/Sales Engineers regarding ABB’s products/systems/applications.
  • Collaborate with project teams to ensure successful execution of projects, providing technical guidance and troubleshooting as needed.

What it takes to Run what runs the world

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Electronics, or a related field.
  • Min 8-10 years of experience in Building Automation especially in KNX systems / BACnet systems.
  • Strong technical knowledge of Building Management, Guest Room, Lighting Management, Energy Management & IoT systems
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to challenges.
  • KNX Advanced Certification, KNX Tutor certification preferred.
  • Willingness to travel as required.
