Regional Corporate Banking Head / HBTF Bahrain

Key Roles & Responsibilities

• In charge of Corporate Banking Dept., Transaction Banking & Liability Dept. and Business Support Team.
• Responsible for enabling operational excellence and driving business growth.
• In charge of preparing the annual budget, operational plans, and marketing strategy for Bahrain and regional offshore banking.
• Monitor and contribute to prospecting activities both on the credit facilities and deposits/liabilities sides.
• Ensure the branch maintains diversified funding sources.
• Evaluate market trends and align strategy with new opportunities.
• Review and propose streamlining of process.
• Contribute to the annual review of the branch credit, ECL and other relevant policies and procedures.
• Propose and supervise the development of new products and services.
• Manage the credit portfolio including OBU customers to ensure maintaining quality risk assets.
• Review and propose risk appetite statement parameters and target market criteria.
• Ensure effective management of syndicated loans.
• Supervise cross selling of treasury services.
• Supervise and participate in the efficient management of major corporate, HNWI and GRE relationships.
• Ensure continuous onboarding of corporate customers on the Cash Management and Trade Finance Portals to improve higher digital processing of corporate transactions.
• Ensure quality MIS and coordinate with IT/Finance for automation of reports and dashboards.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business, banking or any related field
• Minimum experience of 12 years in a senior role in corporate banking

Additional Key Competencies

• Knowledge of the Bahraini and regional corporate banking markets.
• Knowledge of CBB rulebook
• Knowledge of the Bahraini legal framework in relation to lending and security.
• Familiarity with electronic banking services and ability to contribute to IT projects.
• Strategic leadership and decision making, change management leadership and team development, strong presentation skills and executive level communication
