About the Role
The Regional Engineering Manager is responsible for the operational delivery and continuous improvement of engineering services across a multi-site portfolio. The role leads Hard Services performance, ensuring compliance, system reliability, and consistent standards across all locations. This includes the management of PPM programs, asset lifecycle planning, incident management and root cause analysis, and driving technical service partners toward measurable outcomes.
You will oversee core engineering systems (HVAC, electrical, FLS, plumbing), manage technical audits, support SOW development for RFPs, and ensure operational safety and statutory compliance. A key focus is ensuring standard engineering practices are applied consistently across the region, with a strong emphasis on replicating best practices to drive service excellence and efficiency.
The role requires close collaboration with local and regional client teams, internal stakeholders, and vendor partners to ensure all engineering-related services meet business needs, safety expectations, and contractual obligations.
Key Responsibilities
Lead Hard Services operations across the region, including engineering processes governance, compliance, risk, and quality control.
Ensure the implementation and optimization of PPM strategies to reduce downtime, improve asset reliability, and extend equipment life using CMMS platforms (e.g., SAP, Maximo, Corrigo).
Lead incident management and technical investigations, performing root cause analysis on critical failures and driving the implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
Manage asset lifecycle plans to support proactive capital investment and improve long-term infrastructure reliability.
Direct experience in developing technical Statements of Work (SOW), defining service scopes, KPIs, and performance requirements, and actively contributing to RFP and procurement processes for engineering and Hard Services contracts.
Ensure standard engineering practices across the region and replication of best practices across all locations to drive operational excellence.
Lead internal and vendor compliance with Engineering Operations Audits and performance reviews.
Promote and enforce compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), work permits, confined space protocols, and safe systems of work.
Monitor and manage service partner performance against defined SLAs and KPIs, and lead corrective action processes where required.
Support regional engineering budgets, financial forecasting, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
Support business continuity planning and ensure minimum service disruption during adverse events or system failures.
About You
Proven experience in managing Technical Facilities or Engineering Services across a regional or multi-site environment, with responsibility for the performance, compliance, and lifecycle of key Hard Services systems such as HVAC, electrical, fire life safety (FLS), and plumbing.
Experience in planned preventive maintenance (PPM) execution and tracking, with exposure to asset lifecycle strategies and involvement in incident investigations or root cause analysis.
Experience in developing technical Statements of Work (SOW), defining service scopes, KPIs, and performance requirements, and actively contributing to RFP and procurement processes for engineering and Hard Services contracts.
In-depth knowledge of engineering compliance frameworks, including statutory regulations, audit procedures, and technical governance.
Solid understanding and hands-on application of health and safety standards, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), permit-to-work systems, confined space entry, and risk assessments.
Experience and understanding of CMMS platforms (e.g., SAP, Maximo) to support maintenance planning, asset tracking, and performance monitoring.
Strong financial acumen with experience in managing engineering budgets, cost forecasting, and identifying value engineering or cost-saving opportunities.
Ability to lead cross-functional teams and service partners, driving consistency, continuous improvement, and best practice replication across locations.
Effective communicator, able to engage with internal stakeholders, external vendors, and clients at all levels.
Relevant technical qualifications in engineering or building services (mechanical, electrical, or multi-disciplinary). Authorised Person (AP) or equivalent certification is desirable.
Demonstrated adaptability in a fast-paced environment, with strong organizational and decision-making skills.
