Regional Head of Legal @ Global education business

We’re working with a leading global education organisation seeking a Regional Head of Legal to join its expanding legal team, based in Dubai .

This is a senior, high-impact position within a fast-growing international group that owns and operates premium schools across more than 30 countries. The legal function is a trusted partner to the business, supporting complex cross-border transactions, large-scale development projects, and the day-to-day legal operations of a truly global organisation.

The Role

As Regional Head of Legal, you’ll be the primary legal adviser for the Middle East and Africa region, working closely with regional management and the global legal leadership team. Your remit will include:

• Leading all legal matters across the region, providing strategic advice to senior stakeholders.
• Supporting M&A, joint ventures, new school launches, and wider expansion initiatives.
• Advising on real estate and development projects , including new site acquisitions, construction, and leasing.
• Managing commercial contracts, regulatory frameworks, governance, and compliance.
• Overseeing external counsel and coordinating with colleagues across Europe, Asia, and the Americas.
• Contributing to global legal policy development and the implementation of best practices.

About You

You’ll be a qualified lawyer (common law jurisdiction preferred) with significant post-qualification experience gained in a leading law firm and/or multinational business. You’ll bring:

• A strong corporate / commercial background, ideally including M&A and real estate or development work .
• Proven ability to influence and advise senior leadership in a complex international environment.
• Commercial acumen and a pragmatic, solution-oriented mindset.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder, and leadership skills.
