Position Summary:
The Regional HR Business Partner Manager provides strategic leadership to HRBPs and regional senior leaders across multiple food manufacturing sites. The position uses people development tools to build capability in HRBPs and site HR teams. The role is a trusted advisor to regional operations leaders, and uses data, coaching and people strategy to align sites to the organization’s priorities and strategic roadmap. The Regional HRBP Manager evaluates program effectiveness and conducts site audits for compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
Role Responsibilities:

Leadership and Team Development: Coach and develop HRBPs across multiple sites to build strong local HR capability, standardize processes, and use metrics to strengthen efficiency across sites. Mentor site HRBPs to enhance business acumen and influence. Foster collaboration and knowledge sharing among HR teams. Consulted on leadership development and succession planning within assigned region to ensure business continuity.

Business Partnership & Influence: Function as a strategic partner and trusted advisor to regional business leaders. Provides broad HR consultation, ensuring alignment between HR initiatives and operational priorities.

Collaborates with Centers of Excellence and drives adoption of standardized programs within their assigned region. Delivers clear, timely and transparent communication.

Change Leadership: Leads cultural and organizational transformation with clarity, helping leaders and teams navigate change effectively. Conduct assessments of existing manufacturing HR programs for viability and successful outcomes. Lead the change management process of HR initiatives that impact the HR teams in assigned areas, coordinating with the HR Business Partners, COEs and other functions to implement adaptive and/or transformational changes in manufacturing.

People Analytics: Understand business objectives to develop, implement and monitor the use of people related metrics that contribute to the overall strategy and success of the organization. Monitor regional KPIs and as necessary, partner with HRBPs to address root cause of unfavorable metrics that impact site efficiency and profitability.

Culture Champion: Serve as a culture champion, supporting company culture strategies and partnering with key regional senior leaders to build a culture that fosters Ajinomoto Foods Purpose and Values. Encourage direct reports to regularly give and receive feedback and build their capability to provide feedback to their own direct reports and site leadership.

Talent Acquisition: Improve the regional talent acquisition metrics and ensure each plant is implementing the agreed upon staffing plan. Find creative solutions to attract and retain talent in key positions to ensure sites have appropriate bench strength. Partner with Talent Acquisition to provide rural manufacturing sites with additional resources as necessary.

Compliance: Oversee complex investigations and involve additional resources as needed to arrive at an effective outcome. Stay current with policies, labor laws and regulations within region and ensure compliance. Partners with legal as necessary.

Develop and Implement Standards and Processes: Research, analyze and document current workflows and procedures to identify opportunities for standardization and improvement. Facilitate discussions and collaborate with HRBPs and regional leaders to define and document best practices and performance expectations. Create clear, visual and user-friendly standard work instructions. Develop and deliver training programs to ensure all stakeholders understand and can adhere to the new standards effectively
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Management or relevant field of study plus a minimum of 7 years of general experience in human resources, with a minimum of 3 years in a regional HR multi-site management role OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience effectively coaching and collaborating with senior regional business leaders.

Strategic thinker with proven ability to drive continuous improvement across various sites.

Demonstrated the aptitude to identify problems, analyze them and implement data-driven solutions across multiple sites.

Food manufacturing experience preferred.

Experience working in a Lean Manufacturing environment is preferred.

Professional designations through SHRM or HRCI preferred.

Travel up to 50% and/or depending on business needs. This position will oversee 4-5 plants and travel is required.
