Parkshore - Human Resources Director
to join our team!
As a member of the Parkshore senior leadership team, our HR Director serves as an advisor to the Executive Director for all issues related to the community’s incredible team members.
This is a fantastic opportunity to leave your thumbprint on a community and company in the growth stage of its lifecycle. This role pays between $110,000 to $140,000 DOE.
Our Director of Human Resources:
- Provides counseling, coaching and support to both leadership and team members of Parkshore on work-related issues, employee relations, policy interpretation, and creative conflict management/resolution. Guides leadership and others through legally-sound performance management and corrective action process
 - Develops and delivers human resources presentation materials, trainings and forms as needed and manages the New Hire Orientation and Culture of Excellence trainings.
 - Provides a variety of specialized recruiting services, including development of recruiting strategies, processes, and tools; generating a pipeline of qualified candidates and effectively filling open positions in a time sensitive manner
 - Coordinates annual benefits open enrollment for Parkshore in coordination with the corporate HR team. Ensures compliance with ACA and audit requirements for Parkshore.
 - Manages compensation and performance management programs for Parkshore, including owning the performance review process, oversight of annual increases, annual reviews of compensation, and compensation analysis for positions. Partners with corporate HR on compensation strategy and wage scales.
 - Manages special projects or initiatives related to recruitment, retention, culture, employee relations, training, and development in partnership with regional leadership and corporate human resources.
 - Understands local labor law requirements, including Seattle Labor Laws, as they relate to day to day operations, including, but not limited to recruiting, employee relations, performance management and leave management.
 - Administer community on-boarding Program and provide orientation for new Team Members.
 - Oversee COBRA, LOAs, worker’s compensation, unemployment claims, and legal claims.
 - Promote the Mission, Vision and Values of Transforming Age in all areas of responsibility, and demonstrate commitment to Culture of Excellence and strategic goals
 - Perform other duties as assigned
 
What you need to succeed:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited, four-year college in Human Resources, Business, or related field, or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
 - Seven or more years of progressively responsible Human Resources experience, in a fast-paced business environment. At least five years of experience in a HR management role preferably with at least one direct report.
 - A leader with heart who puts culture first is a must for this position. In addition, the ideal candidate must be a self-starter, have high integrity, is intrinsically motivated to learn, and is always looking to improve both themselves and the company they work for.
 - Demonstrated experience with full-cycle Recruiting and complex Employee Relations investigations.
 - Deep knowledge of employee relations, legal compliance, benefits management, leave management, performance management and compensation.
 - Experience in senior living, hospitality, home care or similar field highly desirable.
 - HRCI or SHRM certification highly preferred
 - Working knowledge of computer software programs such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and employee database systems in a web-based environment. Experience using HRIS required, with experience with Workday preferred.
