The
Regional Manager – Türkiye, reporting to the
General Manager Airport Operations, is a key position, responsible for ensuring the smooth, safe, punctual, and cost-effective ground handling operation across Türkiye. This includes managing relationships with local
Red Teams, third-party suppliers, and airport operators to meet contractual obligations and deliver our
safe, friendly, VIP customer experience.
As the
Regional Manager, you will lead the
Jet2.com team in Türkiye, driving
On Time Performance, identifying improvements, and ensuring VIP service across the operation. This is a
hands-on role, interacting with customers and acting as a
Jet2.com ambassador. You will
support the General Manager with operational meetings, planning, resource management, and ensuring strict compliance with safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver safe and compliant operations at all designated airports, ensuring appropriate resourcing, GSE suitability, and adherence to procedures.
- Work with Compliance & Assurance on regular overseas audits, resolving non-conformities and monitoring safety performance via internal auditing mechanisms.
- Manage contracted service providers and airport operators, tracking SLAs (OTP, Customer Satisfaction Scores, Safety metrics, Check-in desk availability, Short-shipped bags, Immigration issues) and applying bonuses/penalties.
- Promote a One Team culture with Jet2holidays, third-party handlers, and partners to deliver seamless customer service.
- Ensure all stations hold and correctly use the required Jet2.com & Jet2holidays manuals, forms, literature, and equipment.
- Proactively manage and control station sales to meet or exceed revenue targets.
- Support the General Manager with recruitment, budgeting, resource planning, cost control, and regulatory compliance.
- Ensure the Airline and Tour Operator meet DCA regulatory compliance through strong stakeholder collaboration.
- Ensure all locally employed colleagues in Türkiye, meet all local and country regulatory compliance requirements and receive all necessary and mandatory trainings.
- Manage and evaluate the performance of direct reports by establishing clear expectations and targets through company’s established methods, standards and systems with the use of “SMART” goals, regular one to one meetings, seasonal reviews and continuous feedback and coaching.
Key Skills / Experience- Essential: Previous Station Management experience in Ground Operations.
- Strong negotiation and contract/relationship management skills.
- Experience managing remote service delivery and large, geographically spread teams.
- Degree-level education or extensive airline industry experience.
- Fluency in Turkish and English.
Job Context- Role based at one of our Türkiye airports, with frequent travel across overseas bases.
- Flexibility required due to operational demands.
- Must hold a valid visa for UK travel.
- Must meet the requirements for an airport restricted area pass
