Position Overview

The Regional Marketing Manager is responsible for the execution of national brand strategy at the local market level, serving as the key marketing lead for all in-state activity related to Stingers Washington. This role is equal parts creative lead, relationship manager, project lead, brand designer, and event producer. You will work in close collaboration with Sales Reps, Brand Ambassadors, Retail Partners, and the Marketing Director to drive consumer engagement, optimize retail presence, and increase product sell-through.

Key Responsibilities

Brand Strategy, Execution

  • Activate national marketing campaigns and brand initiatives in WA, ensuring alignment with Stingers’ voice, goals, and compliance guidelines.
  • Provide feedback and regional insights to the Marketing Director to improve national strategy efficacy in Washington.

Retail Marketing & Partnership Management

  • Support and grow relationships with key dispensary partners in coordination with the Sales team.
  • Execute tiered retail marketing support, ensuring Tier 1 accounts receive full-spectrum activation (digital, print, co-marketing).
  • Maintain a detailed marketing activation calendar using project management tools (e.g., Asana, Google).
  • Design store-specific brand assets and custom in-store displays based on partner needs and field feedback.
  • Manage creative assets and shared materials for all Washington accounts, including folders, decks, and promotional content.
  • Design, order, and allocate brand swag for giveaways, budtender programs, and the team.
  • Create weekly sales emails that include any current promotions, product drops, and updates for buyers.

Brand Ambassador (BA) Program

  • Recruit, onboard, train, and manage the Washington Brand Ambassador Squad.
  • Own the BA scheduling and SOPs for pop-ups, promo days, budtender education sessions, and event activations.
  • Provide regular performance reviews and best practice updates for the BA team.

Budtender Engagement & Education

  • Own and evolve the budtender initiative programs that support key budtenders (1–3 per priority account) through education, incentives, and exclusive brand access.
  • Ensure in-store and virtual budtender education sessions are easily accessible, up-to-date, and engaging.
  • Guarantee that compliant and compelling product knowledge is effectively shared.

Content Creation & Asset Management

  • Capture photo and video content for the Stingers brand including lifestyle, product, strain, and event content, as well as content from pop-ups, retail visits, and events.
  • Coordinate the production of localized content assets (digital signage, print materials, video clips, graphics), ensuring brand consistency across channels.
  • Contribute to the planning and creation of regional social media content and community engagement in collaboration with the central marketing team.

Retail Merchandising

  • Ensure all print and digital merchandising is deployed at priority retail accounts—including shelf talkers, bag stuffers, table tents, and screen content.
  • Track asset usage, link performance (via UTM tracking and Google Analytics), and gather merchandising photos and feedback.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years in marketing, brand management, or field marketing—preferably within the cannabis, CPG, beverage, or lifestyle industries.
  • Strong understanding of the Washington cannabis retail landscape, regulations, and consumer behaviors.
  • Experience managing field teams, brand ambassadors, or event staff.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a collaborative and proactive mindset.
  • Highly organized with project management experience and fluency in tools such as Asana, Google Workspace, Canva, and/or Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Experience capturing and editing content for social and internal use (iPhone or DSLR).
  • Ability to travel regularly within the state for pop-ups, retail visits, and events.

Bonus Skills

  • Experience using marketing analytics tools (Google Analytics, UTM tracking).
  • Cannabis product knowledge, including infused pre-rolls and concentrates.
  • Event planning or grassroots marketing experience.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
